Our Orientation Leaders (OLs) are students just like you who have been selected to serve as a source of support for incoming freshmen and transfer students. How to Get to 91大神 and Where to Stay in Huntsville

For help getting to campus, visit our directions page.

Before arriving on campus, be sure to check out our campus map. Each New Student Orientation begins and concludes at Charger Union (CGU).

Parking will be available in the Intermodel Parking Facility (IMF) or across the street in the Nursing Building parking lot (G17). Event parking is free and does not require a permit.

As a reminder, parents, guests, and transfer students will not be spending the night on campus during Charger Camp. We have a list of recommended hotels in the area. Click below to see the list and locations.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • It is highly encouraged that all new, first-time students attend an Orientation session, as it is a helpful agent as you navigate the transition to 91大神!

  • No, spending the night is not required, but we highly suggest it! We have a lot of fun activities planned throughout the evening, and it鈥檚 a great opportunity to spend as much time as possible with your new classmates!

    Transfer students will not spend the night on campus during their Charger Camp experience.

  • The cost of Charger Camp for First Time Freshman students is included in your enrollment deposit! You will receive more information about how to pay the enrollment deposit in the spring semester. Your deposit covers you and up to one guest. Any additional guest will incur an additional $50 fee.

  • Transfer students are assessed a $50 orientation fee. This fee covers you and up to one guest. Any additional guest will incur an additional $50 fee.

  • Your family is welcome to join in the Orientation fun. We provide specific programming for parents, and you can find more information about parents and guests here. Please note, the orientation fee covers the student and up to one guest. Any additional guest will incur an additional $50 fee.

  • If you are planning to spend the night on campus, you will need to bring a sleeping bag/blanket, pillow, bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth. We also suggest bringing phone chargers, possibly a small fan, and anything else that you need to be comfortable!

  • One thing is for sure... it will be hot! We recommend dressing comfortably and bringing a light jacket in case any of the indoor spaces are chilly or the temperature drops in the evening. You鈥檒l be doing a lot of walking, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and check the weather to ensure you鈥檙e prepared!
